SCA Brewing Foundation Course
This course is designed to introduce the novice to the key skills and equipment required to produce great brewed coffee.
Whether you are a home brewer or want to introduce brewed coffee to your cafe menu, this course will introduce you to the technique and theory needed to get the best out of a range of brew methods.
We'll look at the differences between brewers and filtration methods and introduce you to brew recipes and techniques. Working with a range of brewers, like the V60 and Clever Dripper, we'll introduce you to the technique used by all serious coffee professionals to manage their brews.
SCA Certification & Learner Number
This course is globally accredited via the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA). Please read more here and register as Learner if you are signing up for SCA Certification.
Duration & Complimentary Lunch
This is a full-day course running from 9:30am to 4:30pm, including a break with complimentary lunch provided by Prufrock cafe.
Please note that the course will finish one hour earlier if you are not taking the SCA Accredited Exam.
