Learn how to produce perfectly smooth, glossy microfoam milk for your coffee, then improve your pouring with plenty of hands-on practice and coaching.
We will start with perfecting our milk steaming to consistently achieve microfoam milk, ideal for latte art. Next we will break down the component techniques of free pouring, and look at how the 3 key free pour patterns are made – Heart, Tulip and Rosetta.
As we go, we will identify the small but critical steps that make for excellent latte art, taking away techniques to help you practise your new skills. This class is a great complement to our Home Barista or SCA Barista Skills Foundation courses.
This is a 2.5 hour class running from 10am-12:30pm. Please note: If your course is taking place on the weekend, please arrive 9:45am earliest. At this time we’ll have coffee ready for our students, but the cafe doesn’t open util 10am.
There will be a maximum of 6 students for this class.
