A one-day course covering the key Barista skills - efficient workflow, grinder setting, milk steaming and menu production.
Supervised by one of London’s best barista trainers, this is the perfect class for you if you are thinking about becoming a barista, or just want to learn more about espresso based coffee.
Working on top level professional equipment you’ll learn the basics of consistent dosing and tamping, grind adjustment and tasting. You’ll go on to learn how to steam and pour milk to produce attractive and creamy-textured lattes and cappuccinos.
The class is designed to quickly familiarise you with espresso machinery so that you are fast and neat with your presentation of espresso based drinks. You will finish the day able to make espresso-based drinks, confident in the use of grinder and machine.
SCA Certification & Learner Number
This course is globally accredited via the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA). Please read more here and register as Learner if you are signing up for SCA Certification.
Duration & Complimentary Lunch
This is a full-day course running from 9:30am to 4:30pm, including a break with complimentary lunch provided by Prufrock cafe.
Please note that the course will finish one hour earlier if you are not taking the SCA Accredited Exam.
